City Drivers
This is a day filled with variety. As a Saia city driver, you'll take customer shipments between our company terminals, customer facilities or even to residential locations. Along with Saia's great benefits, the best part is your set radius, so you're always home after your final pickup.
Line Haul Drivers
Line haul at Saia is different. About 80% of our line haul drivers have set runs and are home most days of the week. You’ll move freight throughout our network and average about 2,500 miles per week.
Team Drivers
This is an opportunity to maximize your miles on the road, as well as your paycheck. Our team drivers average 5,600-6,000 miles per week. You’ll move our freight between terminal locations within our network and, most importantly, you’ll be home more often.

Driver Academy
Some of our best drivers didn’t come to Saia as drivers, some started off as dockworkers. Our Driver Academy Program serves as a training ground for non-drivers and CDL drivers with less than 12 months of experience. Our Saia Driver Academy is designed to help you earn your commercial license (CDL). It’s an incredible opportunity to move your career forward with competitive compensation and benefits while securing your financial future. Within weeks, you can get the training and safe driving skills to become a professional driver. It’s just another example of how we go further.
