Ensure efficient utilization of drivers and equipment. Assign motor vehicles and drivers to meet daily manpower and transportation for conveyance of freight. Compile a list of available vehicles and assign vehicles. Record driver staffing requirements for runs. Prepare list of extra drivers available for assignment for regular or special trips. Accurate, timely entry of all line haul movement on the AS400 computer system both company and purchase transportation. Coordinate with dock operations for planning and timely movement of intermodal and purchase transportation loads. Responsible for transmittal of load tenders and informational transfer to and with purchase transportation and intermodal providers.

Preferred Qualifications:                                

• Minimum 1 year transportation experience 

• Dispatch experience 

• Bachelor degree 

• Knowledge of AS400 

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
